What is the biggest thing you've learned from doing PT?

PT allows me to focus on specific areas that I find challenging - nutrition, technique, gymnastic movements. For me, I have made PT part of my regular routine. What have I learned? Where to start? and, Why do I keep coming back? I am a 47 year female, wife and mother of 3 who can stand up and say without doubt that I am the fittest that I have ever been. I've learned how to balance between hitting my workouts, rest days and the importance of fueling my body. With all of the insights, knowledge and expertise, I have been able to successfully set achievable goals, hit my PRs, and grow more than what I ever thought I could.

How has what you've learned in the program affected your performance in the regular classes/WODs?

I surprise myself everyday. PT has given me the confidence, enhanced my endurance, strength and given me the success of achieving my goals. The feeling you get when a movement finally connects, is impactful. And for me, this happens everyday. Simple things, like DU, getting upside down in a HSPU, Rope Climbs...challenging when your afraid of heights, right?
What are some things you would like to brag about that you've been able to accomplish because of PT?

PT has taught me the importance of going into a WOD with a "plan". I record my scores, my lifts, and make notes... this allows me to look back and set new goals and work towards improvement. Don't get me wrong, we have accomplished a lot, but there is always more work to do. A little of what we've accomplished together:

What type of athlete would you recommend PT for?

I would recommend PT towards that athlete that wants to build upon their own strengths and weaknesses. It’s working with an amazing team of coaches towards your own personal goals. Whether you are that games athlete, or someone just like me…who just wants to conquer some of your fears and develop that connection between nutrition, fitness, and getting you out of your comfort zone, in a safe, and friendly environment.
