Here are some simple tips on how to eat healthily during the holidays.
Balance Your Plate
Remember, it’s all about balance. Fill half your plate with vegetables to ensure you’re getting the nutrients your body needs. Then, on the other half, give yourself choice to enjoy some festive foods. Portion control is key!
Stay Hydrated
Commonly, we mistake thirst for hunger. When you hydrate, you can help curb those extra cravings. This doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some holiday beverages, just make sure you’re supplementing with plenty of water.
Don’t Skip Meals
Try not to “save up” your calories for a big meal. This most likely will lead to overeating. Instead, try eating regular meals throughout the day.
Exercise Regularly
A massive part of staying healthy is keeping your body moving. Try doing some form of exercise each day, whether it’s going for a walk or joining us for a Crossfit session.
