Getting Back on Track After a Workout Break
Hey there, are you wondering how to bounce back to your workout routine after a break? You’re not alone! We all have those periods of time when working out takes a backseat. The important thing is, you’re ready to restart and get back on track. And we’re here to help you at CrossFit Aurora Central!
Starting Slow
It’s important to take it slow when you’re just getting back into your routine. Your body needs time to adjust. Jumping straight back into intense activity can be a shock to the system and might cause injury. Start slow and gradually increase your intensity.
Setting Realistic Goals
When you start working out again, it’s tempting to try to pick up exactly where you left off. But, it’s more helpful to set new, achievable goals. This way, you can see progress rather than feeling discouraged because you’re not at your old level. Remember, progress is progress, no matter how small.
Listening to Your Body
One of the most important things during this journey is to listen to your body. If something feels off, give yourself a resting day. Pushing too hard can stall recovery and progress. Your health always comes first!
Staying Consistent
Consistency is key when it comes to getting back on track. The regular exercise, even on days when you’re not feeling 100%, can greatly improve your overall health and fitness. Be consistent with your workout routine and positive results will follow.
Remember, Crossfit Aurora Central is here to help and encourage you throughout your fitness journey. Every journey begins with a simple step. Take that step with us in a No Sweat Intro—a free consultation with a coach. You and your coach will discuss your fitness goals and how we can help achieve them.
